IEA report on CO2 emissions
Emissions rose 1.4 % in 2012, putting the world on track for a 9 degrees Fahreinheit temp rise. Emissions fell in the U.S. and Europe, but rose in China (although at a slower rate than in the past) and in Japan, as the latter "imported and burned large amounts of liquefied natural gas and coal to
compensate for the loss of electricity production from nuclear plants
that have been idle" since the tsunami.
