What Snowden was given to read

Back in late July, when Snowden was stuck in the Moscow airport, his lawyer gave him books by Dostoevsky, Chekhov, and Karamzin, the last being "the court historian to Tsar Alexander I."

Maybe Ted Cruz should have read Karamzin on the Senate floor instead of Dr. Seuss.

At last, after more than 60 years, the remake. :- )

Mr Cruz goes to Washington

A much better suggestion than Dr Suess.

And his fellow Senators in both parties might learn somethin.

I'm guessing he did not *start* with the Karamzin. Tho it sounds moderately appealing - surely it was a source for "War and Peace."

I would guess so.

Btw, your linking to the health-care exchange stuff at yr blog reminds me I have to figure out whether I can do better that way than what I am paying for health ins. now. I'm sure it will be time-consuming so I'm not looking forward to it. (Me being me, i will prob. procrastinate even if i cd be saving money in the meantime.)
